Italian Information Centre

According with Law no. 135 dated August 7th 2012, Consap S.p.A. has been appointed to manage the Italian Information Centre from 1.1.2013.

The Italian Information Centre is responsible for providing information to claimants resident in Italy following a cross border accident:

  • occurred in a foreign Country adhering to the Green Card System;
  • caused by motor vehicles registered and insured in one of the States of the European Economic Area (EEA).

Residents of an EEA Country (other than Italy) who want to know the name of the insurer of the Italian vehicle that caused the accident in another foreign country adhering to the Green Card System should contact the Information Centre of their Country of residence (www.cobx.org)

The Italian Information Centre holds information related to claims representatives for the handling and settlement of motor third-party liability accidents appointed by Italian insurers in other EEA Countries.
If the injured party knows the name of the insurer of the Italian vehicle that caused the accident, it is possible to find online the claims representative in the injured party's country of residence, consulting the list of Claims Representatives drawn up by the Italian Centre or the search engine of Council of Bureaux (COB).
